Preppy or Bohemian?

It does not matter, Annie is so versatile, with such a sophisticated fashion sense ;-)

Today we went and had lunch with Kerren and little Nate. (Who I have to say is the best behaved child I have ever met...we are all jealous of how serene little Nate has always been.)

Grammy Wendy is keeping Annie dressed in style with two very contrasting looks! First her little jumper where she looks ready to go to her first day of school, and then today her little bohemian dress where she looks like she is ready to sit in on a peaceful demonstration on the quad at CAL. I think she is darling in both! Although she was feeling a bit more smilely in today's outfit than yesterdays...maybe its a sign that she is destined to be a creative soul!

Did I hear correctly? Grammy Cathy is going to Hawaii? I LOVE Hawaii. Okay well I have only been there in my Mommy's tummy but she was so relaxed and happy there I am sure it must be great. My Grammy Wendy was just there and got me this great dress so it must be a fabulous place!

Daddy you think I can go to Hawaii with Grammy Cathy? I am all dressed and ready to go!

Oh I see, this trip is just for the grown ups. Hmmmm....

That makes me very sad, I want to go with Grammy Cathy!

What's that you say? I will get to see Grammy Cathy very soon after she is back?

Well I guess that makes me happy! Aloha Grammy Cathy have a great time in Hawaii!!

More visitors!

Saturday was a fun day for Annie. We had Sam and Cara come by to meet her and they brought her just an adorable dress! Annie liked Cara so much she promptly fell asleep in her arms, although occasionally did the one eye open check to make sure all was well. It was so fun to catch up with some old friends.

Then Uncle Todd came for the night. He brought Annie her very first Elmo which I am sure will become a fast favorite. He also brought her her very first Mikey Mouse sweatshirt. I cant wait for Annie to be old enough to take to Disneyland!

 

 

Annie's 2 month check up

We had Annie's 2 month check up yesterday. She is thriving which is just wonderful. She is 11 lbs 3 oz's ! Little chub. She is 1 foot 10 and 1/2 or 22.5 inches ;-). She is in the 50th percentile for weight and the 70th for height. Her neck strength really impressed our Dr. which is nice...I always like an over achiever ;-).

Here she is today in the outfit Auntie Michelle bought her at my shower. It thought she would never be big enough for it, but it seemed to happen in a blink of the eye.

The technology behind these two videos makes me laugh.

This is a video is a digital copy of a VHS tape that my dad made on film reels of a slide show playing slides made from pictures taken of me. Make sense?

Any how the purpose of posting so many people keep saying who does she look like? These are the only digital copies I have of me as a baby, some you can see well, others not, but its still fun!

I personally think she is her daddy's girl from the eyes up, and mommy from the nose down. Clearly she did not get my hair...but hey that's what bows are for!

A Good Night Sleep...well relatively.

Annie tried out a new pillow last night. It's sort of like a Boppy but not. It has sort of a diaper in it for the baby to be "strapped in" so she cant turn over and suffocate. All though at this point that's not much a worry as she can full lift and turn her head in both directions.

Anyhow, we tried this pillow out last week after some recommendations. She loved it! Fell asleep on her own a few times, slept in 3 hour blocks (who knew that would be good) and stayed in the pack-n-play all night as opposed to in my arms or in a bouncer in the bed where she normally ends up. She slept from 8-12 from 1-4:40 from 4:50-7:30 Awesome!

It could have been the shots, it could have been the baby Tylenol, but I am PRAYING its the pillow. She is in for her morning nap on it right now and still seems to enjoy it. I feel sort of like Miranda in Sex And The City when her neighbor told her she was not an awful mom b/c her kid was screaming, she just didn't have the "chair". Apparently I didn't have the pillow! Lets hope it lasts!

Grammy and Grumps stop by!

Grammy and Grumps decided to come by for an impromtu visit this weekend. We had a whole lot of fun doing... nothing! The rain made it kind of hard to do much. Adam and dad went for a trip to Best Buy, which has become a tradition for them. Grammy and Ashley stayed home and Grammy took about 100 pictures of Annie and marveled over her tremendous skills. Cooing, drooling, turning her head, and sleeping. I think when Annie actually does something on purpose my mom's head might explode she will be so excited and proud!

 

 

What's a girl to wear?

This weekend when Grammy and Grumps came for a visit we tried on a few outfits to decide what to wear to the two upcoming showers we have for Kerstin and Allsion. With so many choices what is a girl to wear??

Dressing her is sort of like the Three Bears. Its either too big, too small, or just right for today. But if it fits today it probably wont in 2 weeks so we will have to choose again! This pink one was one of our favorites. If I recall correctly we got this darling outfit from Sarah Lee, and we love it!

 

 

 

 

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day to everyone! Today Annie and I made Daddy breakfast in bed. Well Mommy made it, and Annie added the drool. She was quite entertained with the plastic heart cookie cutter. Daddy did night duty for Mommy and surprised her with some lovely earrings. Today Annie wore her third and final Vday outfits. So sad that she will be too big to wear them next year!

This is the Vday outfit that Annie wore yesterday. While out and about she got a lot of compliments on how well she was coordinated! The headband and the socks really make the outfit! Annie loves Valentines day!

Annie is quite the fashion plate. She has not only one, not two, but THREE Valentines Day outfits. So we started the parade yesterday with this outfit. Today we are doing take 2 with Grammy Cathy's outfit, and on V Day one that Mommy bought.
