Malia's Dance Party

This was the party of the century for Annie girl.  She was so excited to get to go and celebrate Malia's party at the dance studio.  She got all Diva'd up and off we went.  Love seeing Annie and her little clique of friends all together.

Happy Mother's Day

We went to Fresno for Mother's day this year.  Adam, Jon and my Dad took Annie to Storyland in the morning so the Mom's could rest (my poor mom has a really bad ear infection).  While Storyland wasnt a hit with Annie the rest was a hit with me, only 11 weeks to go!

After that we did something the Gottlieb's never do on a holiday, we went out!  We went to Flemmings and and a yummy lunch.  Annie was a good girl for 2 whole hours, I was shocked.  Definitely the nicest restuarant this kid has been to.

Happy Mother's Day to all my fabulous Moms!!

Mothers Day Brunch

Annie's school had a wonderful Mother's Day Brunch for all of the mothers and their little one's.  Annie sang a great song, she was really the ham of her class which totally cracked me up.  Video to come.  Love my little girl so much at this age!

Lazy Sunday

Today we had a very lazy Sunday.  Annie has had a few rough nights.  Last night she woke up coughing like a seal and I had to give her cough medicine for the first time ever because her chest was hurting her so badly.  It helped but that meant from 3-6 am we were up with her.

That said we all slept until 9.  When we all got up the weather was just beautiful.  Felt almost like Hawaii, very warm breeze.  I made us some homemade Blueberry muffins and set up outside in the yard.

I love how all of our hard work planting last year came back to reward us this year.  We had to plant very little this season which was wonderful.

As I was finishing the muffins Jayden and Auntie Kelly called.  They were in the Bay Area for Girl Scouts and happened to be 5 minutes from our house on their way back.

Adam and Annie went and met them for a quick catch up before swimming lessons.  Annie was thrilled to get to see Jayden!  Not often So Cal family is in Nor Cal so it was great to get the chance to say hello!

Can't say I'm looking forward to going back to work with the weather this nice, but hey, we have to pay the bills!

Last week I left to run some errands.  I wasnt specific about where I was going but I ended up at Nordstroms.  As I was paying I look up and I see Adam and Annie walking in the store.  Perplexed and rather shocked we just stare at each other.  I ask him what he is doing there, and, not ever being the best liar (thank goodness!) I am able to deduct they are here for Mother's Day stuff.  We part ways and about 10 minutes later run into each other AGAIN further into the mall.

He finally gave up and told me what he was up to.  He and Annie went to paint met his beautiful mug!  I love it so much.  I used it for the first time this morning and so far its my all time favorite Mother's day present.

Freshly cut from my very own garden.  I hope to get 2 more rose bushes in the back this season.

My hydrangeas came back in full force this year.  There are million little blooms waiting to burst.

 Roses popped this last weekend.

These beds all came back from last year.

The only thing we really did this year was plant a few snap dragons and get a third umbrella for over the lounge chairs.

I made homemade muffins to enjoy outside this morning.

 My breakfast!

In the side yard we have this area that we arent growing much, behind the sand box.  I am thinking next year I would like to do a vegetable garden in raised beds.  We have the irrigation back there and its gets good filtered sun.  Not ready to take in on this year though.  Would be nice to grow my own veggies for a great summer salad.
