Video of Annie at the Aquarium

Here is a video of Annie at the Aquarium. She was just so sweet with how intently she watched all the fish. This is pretty much what she did at every single exhibit she was awake for. So it made for a very peaceful day. Now if I could figure out how to get a giant aquarium with lots of fish, and elmo in a scuba suit swimming in it, I could go take a nap!

Monterey Bay

I think today was my favorite day with Annie to date. Adam, Todd, Annie and I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for the day. I grew up going there with my family every year so it is a very special place to me. Annie was TOTALLY into the exhibits that were back-lit, which was most of them, which was great. She would follow the fish, jellies, or seahorses as they floated across the glass, and then look at me and smile. My heart melted. Below are some of my favorite pictures from the day.

New favorite family picture....

"Okay guys, you say this place is so great...bring it on!!!"

"I have my game face on!"

"Holy cow dad, this is WAY better than my aquarium sound soother at home!"

"That is amazing...can I put it in my mouth?"

Those things that look like plants, are sea horses. How cool is that?

"Hey mom, that fish is BIGGER than ME!"

"That shark may be big, but I'm not scared..."

"Hey Mom, look down there, you are not looking at this funny fish making me smile!"

"Who is cuter...that seahorse or me?"

"I think it's me!"

"Oh yeah, I know it's me"

"A penguin! Grammy Cathy just loves these guys!"

Leave it to Adam and Todd to find the video game in the place, it appears they are going to launch the space station...

How many seahorses do you see?

"Hey Uncle Jon, it's him!!! It's the Pout Pout fish!! Can you believe it? I told him you gave me his book, but he was pouting so he did not respond..." http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51MspYn0GkL.jpg

Happy Birthday Nate!!!

Annie's buddy Nate turned One today. We had a great birthday in the park with him and all his friends. Kerren truly did a fantastic job with things. Nothing over overlooked, everything was delicious, and everyone had a great time.

Shannon, Kellen, Annie and I. Kellen has become quite the cute little chatter box!

Kellen was not too sure of Adam's hat, he thought his beanie was way cooler. I would have to agree. He is just back from Denmark with all the latest European styles.

Annie never looks at the camera when you want her too....

Shannon, Kellen, Kerren and birthday boy Nate.

Again, not looking, but really how cute is that outfit?

Annie and her Daddy!

Birthday boy Nate...

Jeegs!

Second picture of Anaya on my blog eating cupcakes...too cute :-)

Kiera is a serious painter.

Annie loves Auntie Rupal! She knows all the good tricks!

Kiera had a great time playing in the meadow. Love the dress Lori sewed for her!

Nate is ready to walk as demonstrated by Grammy!

More Elmo

I tell you this child cannot get enough of Elmo. When she is cranky nothing can keep her entertained the way that he can. If I could take Elmo with us everywhere I would. I seriously contemplated how to strap him to the back of the seat, in front of her car seat, and then remotely activate him. I think that Fisher Price needs to get on that one.

Here is Annie with her Boy Toy Elmo.

Pool Time!

It has been H O T here the past few days, but thankfully it has cooled down to the low 60s again. We took Annie out to our pool to beat the heat, but they had not started heating it yet so it was a bit too cold for a long swim. I think Annie's favorite part about the whole thing was the massage she got when I put 1/2 a bottle of infant sunscreen on her body.

She did however not seem to mind splashing her feet around in the water. Any deeper and she looked at us and wondered "hey guys where are the bubbles and why is the water so cold???" I think they start to heat the pool in May, so we will be back! Annie has many swimsuits (of course)to model for us!

Annie 4 Months Old

Here are some shots today of Annie at 4 months. She seems HUGE to me. If you don't remember our original pics of her and the bear click here. She has become an absolute giant, in a few months that bear will have nothing on her.

Annie can now roll from front to back, and, back to front, she smiles and squeals with joy nearly constantly. She is a very happy baby unless there is really something bothering her. She has started to sleep in 4 hour chunks on average, so not too bad for us. Usually only one middle of the night feeding.

She loves to make things "work" she pounds her piano, pushes the buttons in her exersaucer, and pulls the bugs on her playmat. She is really grasping the cause and effect thing which is so fun to watch.

She weighed in yesterday at 14lbs exactly and 24.5 inches. She is doing just great, we could not love her more.
