We had our Halloween party this last weekend and I had a really great time planning it and an even better time the day of.
Annie was beyond excited for this party and that makes it so much more fun. The holidays this year are going to a blast with her finally into it all. She was running around all morning "helping" us set up. Every table needed a princess doll for her and her friends to play with.
We had about 15 families over, which turned into about 50 adults/children. I rented some tables and we blocked off the driveway which turned out to be a fantastic idea. As we settle more into the house I am figuring out the best way to make things work for a large crowd which is important as I like to entertain and our house is not huge by any means.
I think things worked out just great. We had Jungle James come and do a show for the kids. Big snakes seemed perfect for Halloween. He was great with the kids and as you can see they were very into the animals. The adults were more afraid than the kids.
I have to give tremendous thanks to my parents for helping with the food and helping watch Jacker Jack for me. No one can say the distance between us is keeping us down, we have seen my parents 3 out of the last 4 weekends!
We had the house cleaned the backyard cushions put up for the winter the carpets shampoo'd and the slate steamed by 5pm and we enjoyed the rain and watched movies as a family. Sad its all over!
