Happy 2013!
I normally do not like NYE after having lost a very good friend 13 years ago. Just never really could get into the celebration much after that. Plus, I hate staying up late. This year however was a lot of fun. We had Jayden and Kelly visit us and I made 3 dishes for the first time, bacon wrapped scallops with chili flakes and butter, lobster tails, and steak house steaks. I can honestly say I love to cook, its kind of like doing an art project for grown ups!
This year has been nothing but wonderful to Adam and I at home, at work, and with our beautiful family, I can honestly say I have never been happier. As I visited campus today with Jayden I asked myself if the me 13 years ago would be happy with where the present day me is today and the answer was 100% yes, I had to take a deep breath and smile.
Onward! May this year be full of quality family time, health, continued career growth, and remembering to take advantage and appreciate the lifestyle our hard work affords us.
