Fresno Zoo

We went to Fresno this week to celebrate Father's day with Adam and my Dad, as well as their birthdays. My parents are getting ready for a big European adventure and we wont have a chance to celebrate later so we had one big weekend celebration.

When we got to Fresno Annie was pretty full of energy after the drive so we decided to go to the Zoo.
Do you like Annie's overalls?

They are a little long on her still....

But it's pretty amazing that she is wearing them to the Zoo, just like I did, 30 years ago! One day maybe her little girl can wear them to the Zoo too....

Mommy do you see the Monkey? He reminds me of Uncle Jon!

This goat is pretty mellow...I wonder if it's time for his nap?

I'm pretty sure I could find 100 pictures of me standing just like this, at these posts, in our Zoo.
Annie is talking to her Grumps about what her favorite animals were. We think the Turtles, Nemos (fish), elephants, and monkeys were her favorite.

Annie plays in Grammy's Secret Garden

Hey guys, you know I have a thing for apples, and I found some little crab apples in the garden. Wanna make a pie?

Run Run Run Run Run Run.

Cocktail Hour

Ahhhh, this is the life.

Cocktail hour...let's all relax and enjoy this beautiful weather...

Now explain to me one more time why I can't have a gin and tonic?

Holy cow you guys, brie and bread is amazing! Can we have cocktail hour every weekend?

What's wrong with a little sand and your brie? Nothing.

Grammy bought me my own chair for cocktail hour! I think its divine.

Father's Day and Birthday Dinner

My mom went above and beyond and made a beautiful surf and turf dinner for all of us. We had surf, turf, homemade pilaf, baked brie and garlic, wedge salad with bleu cheese, and homemade cobbler for dessert. No restaurant could have done it better! Thanks mom!
A baby sized cobbler for Annie too!

The turf was TO DIE FOR.

Surf always looks so pretty to me. If I have said it once I have said it before, they need to make shoes that look like the same pattern of a lobster shell, they are beautiful! Snakes have nothing on them.

Flowers cut fresh from the garden.

Adam is in heaven.

Annie loving Grammy's pilaf for the first time in her life. Will be the first of many many times.

Annie and her Grumps!

Grumps, you are hysterical. I don't believe a word you are saying, but it's pretty funny anyhow.

Hey guys this pool is great? When do I get to get in? Not until tomorrow? Oh man.
