We were loud. Really loud. Laughing, debating, discussing, and more laughing. The occasional booking of airline tickets to Fiji might have gone on, but that is to be expected at any gourmet meal, no? Annie never woke up. I'm such a proud mommy. The food was great! I impressed both Adam AND Todd with the lamb presentation. This is no small feat considering a. they are meat snobs, and b. I have never made lamb. My culinary confidence is growing. There are just a few dishes left that intimidate me.
The Creme Brulee also was divine. Tasted just like home! We went through 3 bottles of wine, no small share of scotch, and vodka. That's the sign of a good party! To top it off, Kristen brought over a lovely CD of Irish music. I think the Irish must be angry people.
More important than any of the food, my expectations for the conversation and fun were not only met, but far exceeded. John's wife, Johanna was totally as cool as Kristen. I'm Smitten. Had I interviewed her, I totally would have asked her on a friend date as well. As John would say, they are really cool "girls". ;-)
She and John have been married 10 years, and together longer than that. They were high school sweethearts. I just love that. How lucky to have found the "one" so soon in life. I hope to have them all back over very soon.
What is not to like? We are all sharp, sarcastic, fun, and not afraid to have the wine passed on over. Best yet, we all got each other's jokes! And John, well he is entertainment just on his own. He Todd and Adam were having a lot of fun. The only thing we were missing was a board game. But we plan that for next time. We are going to play one with a disc. Not a floppy disc, and apparently not a CD. But more like a Frisbee. Get excited! Life is good. I am a lucky lucky person to have such wonderful friends and family. Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!

My first rack of Lamb!! Medium rare and Y U M M Y. I'm a proud carnivore right now.
