After we took our pictures with Anna Kupperberg she called us about 8 months later to let us know a greeting card company had picked up Annie's photo and wanted to use it in their cards. We said, sure, why not? She cracks us up every day, why not let her bring smiles to others.
Well, they arrived today! She will be sold in major drug stores and car washes across the US, lol.
Two versions of the card, one is blank, and the other is about belated birthdays. Totally cracks me up.

Where are Grammy and Gramps?
One of the great luxuries of working hard your whole life and making good choices is what you get to do with the time you have after your kids are grown, and I am so happy that my parents are REALLY enjoying themselves. Their goal was to travel all over the world, and boy have they done it over the past few years. They deserve it after everything they have done for all of us.
This trip they went to Asia, they will be gone a bit over 3 weeks. So far we are 2 deep into it and I am loving skyping with them and getting their pictures.
Both my parents say its a different world over there (which I can imagine) and they are absolutely loving their time.
On the upside every time they go on a trip I get some beautiful jewelry ;-). Last time it was a beautiful amber necklace from Turkey, this time Jade from Hong Kong. They go to Paris next....think I can talk them into a high fashion bag ;-).
Happy Travels Grammy and Gramps, we miss you!!

Easel Saturday Morning
Grammy and Gramps got Annie and Easel and we put it together today and did some drawing and painting. Annie loves to paint and we had a very nice time letting her get messy and enjoying the early spring weather. We hope everyone has a fantastic Saturday afternoon!

Cow, How I Love Thee
Cow is a pillow pet. Annie has a fondness for Cow. I have a fondness for Annie. I, however, do not have a fondness for Cow. Annie has to take Cow everywhere around the house. But sometimes Cow does provide good entertainment. How many uses does Cow have? Take a journey with me...

Happy 2011!
2010 had its up moments and it's blah moments. Nothing particularly bad happened, and a few exceptionally good things happend but overall I would say it was an average year.
Looking back there are there things that I wished I had done more of. First, I wish I had been more adventurous and spontaneous (hard with a toddler, but we could have done better). When you don't try new things and experience new places and people you become less interesting, and that is something I am not okay with. While I love my house and those around it, we need to get back out there. Secondly I wish I loved people more for who they are and what they bring to my life rather than judging where they fell short. We all fall short.
Not that I am suddenly going to be all peace love and flowers, (who are we kidding) but I am really going to try to just take the good, let it add to the good in my life, and love the people in my life for who they are. And I have some amazing people in my life, I often just forget to reach out.
I think both of those things will lead to a more fulfilling 2011 for me personally.
The good in this year was very good. No need to go into it because if you are reading this you have seen it unfold on our blog.
The blah parts of the year pop out at me because they were just monotonous. Nothing bad, just the same over and over. I hope to fix that by spending less time on the computer and more time getting out there. Nothing bad could come of that.
So that's it for me. Judge less, love more and use my time to really get out there.
Here is to a 2011 full of friends and family. Happy New Year!

So I decided to cook again. I have no idea what came over me. It was not a veiled attempt in trying to convince Eddie that I cook often, he ...
