Imagination Play

Last week I was noticing Annie didn't seem as challenged with her toys and suddenly she was very into imagination play, which is new for her. So, I decided to buy her a little kitchen set, as she loves her fake food set.

I chose this one. It was like the Pottery Barn kids one, but you know, like 1/8th their insane price. Once I chose this, I spent no less than 3 hours choosing fake food. This sounds insane, but its true. Plastic or Wood? "Slicable" or not. To scale? It got crazy.

Ultimately I was able to work it out, Annie has pots, food, and a kitchen all coming her way. My luck, shell hate it. Do you know they make "play" enameled pots... Le Cruesette better watch out.

Well, when you have a kitchen, you need a table right? We have had this one which has been ready to go in the garage now for a while. Well, to make room for it, I had to move a leather bench, which lead me to move another piece, and then I decided to get rid of some stuff, and then wanted to rearrange stuff and clean stuff.

Well while I was cleaning, I decided the weather was going to be so nice this weekend (per my mom who checks the weather religiously) that I should sweep and clean the deck. Well, that led to new cushions b/c the others were a few years old, and well, gross. Then I decided it was so nice out there that I should get Annie a little water table b/c she loved the one in the desert so much. Well, that led down a whole 'nother rabbit hole. In the end I chose this one because it was a. small, and b. had nearly 300 positive reviews.

Annie is going to be so excited she wont know what to do. We plan to donate the toys she grew out of, and keep the really good ones for that possible second child.

I will of course post pics of all of this when everything arrives.
