I'm a mean old witch with my hat....

We had a fantastic Halloween. I got to meet a lot of new neighbors whos houses were just built, and got to see Annie have fun with her two friends Natalie and Ariel.

She walked around door to door singing for candy.  Her song is on tape below.  We have a saying in our house "you make my heart happy", it's what we say to Annie as our special I love you.  I can honestly say this song made my heart happy, I am so delighted with what a special little girl we have.

I could hear her singing door to door as I was on the porch passing out candy.  As neighbors came up they would tell me they saw Adam and Annie and heard her song.  It was totally cracking me up. We hope you had a fantastic Halloween.

I finally used the "all corner" brownie pan my mom got me and I loved it!  Better yet Annie had a great time with the sprinkles and the mix doesn't takes like chemicals like I think cupcake mix does.

On the move...
Homemade Chili!
Corn bread in the shape of pumpkins.

Our neighbors brought us candy apples.  Annie had a hard time with it!
Our desert plate.  I only planned for brownies, the rest were brought to us.

First bowl of candy we went through.
Mommy sat on the porch and greeted trick or treaters.  It was so nice to see the kids comment on our house.

Our second bag of Costco candy nearly GONE.
Happy Halloween!

Halloween Party at Annie's School

This morning we went to Annie's school for a Halloween Party. She had a great time participating in the show they put on. (Video to come) She also loved seeing all of her friends dressed up in their costumes. I am so excited for tonight!

I gave Annie her broom and she was beyond excited.  She wanted to "make it go".  Love kids.

Annies face when I told her she could not take the broom to school.

Getting ready to take off and fly!

Annie at her Halloween Party at Dance

Annie and miss Tori, her teacher.

Family Only Weekend!

After being gone most of last week Adam and I decided that we needed a family only weekend. We canceled all of our plans but dance and spent the weekend doing things with Annie.

Felt good to catch up on things around the house and feel like I got to connect with Adam and Annie.

We are looking forward to Annie's school Halloween party tomorrow as well as Annies first time trick-or-treating.

I made some butternut squash chowder for Adam, it is one of his favorites!

I also got to use the immersion blender my parents got me for the first time.  This thing is great!

We did some great crafts with Annie.  I finally found the Halloween ones I had bought and then lost in the garage.  One of them was great for Annie.  The other was way too advanced for even Adam!

Annie and Mommy making their SCARY faces!

This is Adam trying to figure out the second craft.  This went on for some time.

Annie decorating her house.

Adam got it figured out!

Two crafts done!

Annie admiring her good work.

Mommy enjoying her hot tea by the fire!  The fire is getting much more use this fall than it did during the summer.  I almost dont want the rain to start.

Apparently my flowers don't know it's fall.

Pumpkin carving time!  Annie and Daddy carved the jack-o-lanterns together.  This time Annie did not cry for the pumpkin and loved putting the candle in it and watching it glow.

I can't wait for tomorrow!  Happy Haunting everyone!
