Thanksgiving 2011

The best part of having a child is that they make everything new again.  Every holiday we have had with Annie since she was born, with both sides of our family, have been unique and wonderful.   Long gone is the routine that set in from ages 15-25 and back is a new energy and life to our family gatherings.

We had a FULL house this TG at my Mom's.  We not only had a huge adult count we had NINE kids under 5.  We were missing 13 people, this was not even our whole crew and the Doug Woods and Dennis Woods clans were not able to join us.

With so many kids I had a great time planning things out so they had a blast this year, and I think we succeeded.  My Mom made a beautiful meal with the help of all of the families.  Every year this is so much work but at the end of the day it is so worth it.

For my family I am thankful.

Jon grew in a mustache for Movember.

We bought out PBK this year.  I couldn't help myself.  Lori took my insanity for mini tableware and came out with a great business idea.

The adult table didnt look so bad either.

Erin came through with a great bouncehouse for the kids.  They had a good time but I think the adults had just as much fun!

In goes Gramps.

Aunt Susan and I knocked out some fierce deserts.

Erin got us the BEST gift ever.  She knew I loved Annie's Halloween sweater but she also knew it had at best 1 year left in it.  Erin found it again and bought a size 5 so we can enjoy it for years to come.  I really love how thoughtful it was and it will make for some fablous pictures.  Thank you Erin.

Aunt Susan caught air!

We did turkey crafts as well to keep the kids busy.  This place was better than camp for them.

Adam is having a tough time keeping a straight face with Jon's stache.

We are missing Adam and Allison, as they were with the kids on their shift.  We had cardboard cutouts of Andrew and Rochelle as they were overseas and couldnt join us.  We were just missing Lisa and Richard, Stephen and Nicole and we would have had the whole gang.

They are like mice!  They keep showing up.

Collin and Annie having dessert, Collin was so sad that they icecream was gone.

Collins sums up my feelings on the day.
