Or rather solid food. Annie's Dr said that we could start to give Annie some rice cereal this week. So we gave it a try. She was extremely unsure. She definitely liked the sensation in her mouth, not so sure about the taste. Adam and I laughed harder than we have in a while, poor kid. All in all I'd bet she ate a tablespoon and a half. Doesn't sound like a lot, but in reality that's great for a first try. We will try again tomorrow. If she continues to make those faces I think it's time for some chocolate...;-).

A girl has gotta have her girls.
I am truly lucky to have such amazing girlfriends in my life. We have such a strong group for support, humor, and good times. I think between us all we have been through just about every major life event a woman of our age could go through, and sharing them all makes the good times better, and the bad times not so rough.
This picture was taken at our monthly girls night dinner. I confidently say that this night is one of the best of the month for me. We choose a different restaurant each time, the conversation is consistently good, and there is no shortage of laughter.
This picture was taken at Lisa's Mother's Day Brunch that she hosts every year. It was my first time going, and I have to say Lisa outdid herself...again. We took this picture using the camera on the counter with a timer, needless to say getting that many kids to say cheese at the same time is a challenge, but if you ask me, the picture is cuter that way! We are missing a few of the kids in the photo, but let me tell you, there was no shortage of little hands and feet around!

Said Little Red Riding Hood. Red dresses are a bit of a tradition in the Gottlieb family, and I have to say Annie carries the torch well. The red dress made her blue eyes pop like I have never seen! Her Grumps and Grammy bought her this dress before she was born, and she fits perfectly into it now. We went to a mother's day brunch at Lisa's house today (more on that soon) so it was the perfect occasion for Annie to wear the dress for me.
