Love is in the Air...No?

So keep in mind I have a. never done set design, b. never constructed fake trees, and c. I am a huge fan of duct tape. All of that said, I am really proud of how our trees came out. My vision when picturing them was the trees with the big trunks from the Wizard of Oz. I had a TON of help from my team, and others at the Q. Making trees on a VERY tight budget was a challenge *hence the reason we didnt just buy them, but with what we had to work with, I'm pleased.

While I dreaded this project to be quite honest, it seemed like a huge task. I have not laughed harder with people doing anything in a long long time. It was great fun. MANY thanks to my team who really pulled through for me!!! Thanks to Tricia, Mike, Leah, Heidi, and James! And my extended team Suzette and of course Kristen. (You think I got involved in this thing... Kristen is IN IT!!!!)

The play is on Tuesday night, dress rehearsals are being had. Even though its extra work in an otherwise full life, teamwork and events like this are what have kept me at QuinStreet for 10 years.



Buckets served as the bases. Filled with sand they will be perfect. I sense you doubt me.

Lumber for the base of the trunks. You should have seen Tricia and I Home Depot buying this, it was HYSTERICAL. Tricia had on four inch heels and I had 3 inch rhinestones on mine. We were VERY out of place. But we loaded those 60lb bags of sand like champs.


I bought saws, but I made the boys use them. Always the best plan!!

As I said...it's all about the duct tape.

Kristen doesn't mess around, she does construction in heels. My kind of lady!
