Sneak peak of this years Holiday Card Recipe....

Can you guess what it is?  ;-)

Happy Hanukkah!

We had a great time celebrating Hanukkah this year because Annie was finally old enough to enjoy lighting the candles and getting her gift. A lot of people don't know Hanukkah is not really a religiously significant holiday. It is a real holiday, but it really only became a big deal when commercialism took effect and we Jews needed a reason to give and get presents. And, well, Annie did that like a champ! We had some lovely latkes, good friends, and great dreidel! Happy Hanukkah. Even if its not a "big deal" holiday, it is still one of my favorites.

I dont reserve creepy elves just for Christmas.

Annie and her little people Hanukkah play set.  Yes that is a little person with a Yarmulke.

It lights up and sings!

Annie got her first My Little Pony for one of the nights.  She loves Pinky Pie!

Annie put the stickies on herself.  I love the backwards K.

Deck the Halls

I love a good lighted house. I like a house to look classic, with garland, and wreaths, and bows. I had an absolute blast decorating this year. Next year we are going to tackle more lights on the actual house, but for the first year I was really happy with house beautiful it all turned out! Happy Griswalding!

I always wanted a house with a tree you could see on the second floor.  Why?  There is this house on VanNess that always did it in Fresno, and I loved it.  Granted that house was 5k square feet and the tree was 8ft tall, but hey, we are just starting out so I am happy with how mine looks.

The last thing we have to do is light the garland on the garage area.

Lets see how these poinsettias do outside, I only need them to live 3 weeks, I think they can!

After looking at 100 wreaths I decided to go with fresh ones in the end, thanks mom!

My favorite elves!

Hmmm, Daddy I think you need to go a little bit to the left.

Daddy, did you check all the bulbs?

The Lanai.  See, I knew owning like 6 trees would come in handy one day!

Tree in our bedroom, yes I said it, yes I did it.  And I am not ashamed.  Last night I curled up in our clean sheets, by the tree, and watched Little Women while it rained.  Can you think of a cozier night?

Alice in wonderland tree for Annie's party.  How many trees did you count ;-)

And a little spiced cider to go with our music!
