...eyes and ears and mouth and nose, head shoulders knees and toes knees and toes. Okay no where in that song do they mention hands, but Annie has found hers! And she loves to put them in her mouth. Once she gets better control of her arms maybe she can soothe herself that way, b/c the pacifier just is not happening. She sucks on it for about 30 seconds, look at me, like "hey do you think I'm stupid?" and spits it across the room. But the hands, those are a horse of a different color. They are warm, soft, fleshy, and somewhat animated and she loves them.
In other developments Annie is starting to loose some of that newborn cry and developing distinct cries for various problems. My favorite is her pissed off cry. There is no other polite way to describe it, she is pissed, and wants you to know it.
To offset this she has started to smile on a daily basis. The easiest way to get her to do it is to sing her one of the lame songs I made up for her. Which is why there is not a video of it on the blog...there is no way the world is ready for my lame songs. But she loves them, and it makes all the late nights worth it each time you get one of those smiles. Hopefully we can get the camera out soon and capture some of those gummy grins!
