What's in a name?

Annie started writing her name by herself recently.  No tracing involved.  Not perfect but a GREAT start.  I am so proud of her!!  She is quite proud of herself when she does it as well.

Today I had my last scan before Baby J arrives.

We also had Disney week at school.  Annie went as Tinkerbell, though decided to carry her wings.

9 days to go unless my Dr decides next week I can do it a few days early.  Time will tell!!

S is for sssssnake!

Annie's summer program at school is a lot of fun for her.  They had the snakes and tails show come and  Annie was one of the only 2 kids that came up to hold the snake.

I love there there is a cute little bunny behind her but she goes for the snake.  I was a lot like that as a kid so it makes me so proud of her.

Happy Birthday Ella

It's been a crazy time of year for birthday parties.  Annie has had them seemingly every weekend with no end in sight.

Ella had a really great party at the Zoo.  I didn't make it b/c I wasnt feeling so hot this weekend but Adam had a great time with everyone.  Desare knows how to throw a great party and Adam said it was  one of the best parties we have been to yet.

Annie has a special crew of girls at school.  The teachers even say they have never seen a clique of girls bond so quickly and have the group last over 3 classrooms of time and even when Annie is still in the lower class.  (She is about 6 months younger than the  youngest of the 5).

I love that she has such special friends, and I love it even more that I have become close with their mamas.  With so many schools in San Ramon we will all end up at different elementary schools even though we all live within 5 miles of one another and Desare and Taylee each live within 1.5 miles of my house.  Crazy how many elementary schools there are here.  Hopefully the mamas being friends will help the kids stay tight as they go their separate ways.

At any rate.  Happy Birthday sweet Ella.  Thank you for always being such a good buddy to Annie!

'Sporatorium

I am really really lucky to have a husband who is as involved with Annie and the house as he is.  Adam and I split things evenly across almost all chores and lately he has been SUPER DAD b/c I am just not comfortable these days.  Nothing has been even, he has been doing almost all the household/Annie chores and I am so very very lucky.

This weekend he did the pool with Annie multiple times, made all the meals for us, took Annie to the fair, the park and the Exploratorium in SF.  What did I do you ask?  Washed a few loads of laundry and rested.  So thank you Adam, you made our 5 daybreak feel like a 2 week rest and I appreciate it!

Next year we are going to have a proper family vacation with room service, massages and child care ;-).

Take a look below for some great pictures of Annie at the Exploratorium, or, as she calls it, the 'Sporatorium.  They had a science fair at her school as part of their summer program and she loved the experiments so we thought this would be right up her alley.  She did have a great time and I have a list of projects for kids into science to do at home and we are going to do a few in the next few weeks.

4th of July

Annie got to go to the fair for the first time today.  A great way to spend the 4th.  She had a fantastic time and thinks the fair is pretty awesome.  We did a very low key BBQ with just the family.  This is the first year in like 5 years we have not had a 4th BBQ.  I had one planned but being 30 days away from the baby it was just a bit too much for me.

Daddy made the day very special for all of us.
