Annie 26 Months

I took some pictures of Annie today as she is approaching 26 months.  She is talking up a storm, she is quite funny these days.  She is a stubborn kid.  No idea where she got that from.  She refuses to wear any rubberbands.  My mom keeps saying "your the mom" yeah well Annie doesn't seem to give a @#$# that I am the Mom and throws herself on the ground as if I were pulling each hair out of her head one by one with wax.  I gave up.  She is a hippy child now.  I will try again in a month, I have learned to choose my battles.

She loves Caillou for 30 minutes before bed.   Adam and I hate that kid.  Why is he bald?  Why is his mom always wearing the SAME clothes and others change.  Why does he have a foriegn name and everyone else is American?  Why do kids like him so much?

She is still a good eater and god bless her, eats her broccoli.  She loves her baths, likes to give kisses, and still is in love with every dog she sees.  The cutest thing she does is walk around the house and calls out "Adam, Adam where are you" (Adam not Daddy) cracks me up.

We have her in music class, swim class, and playgroup.  School will start next fall, but as I see it, she doesn't seem shy, nor does she seem left behind so I am happy to have her home.  All around, other than the fact she will only wear pants, wont comb her hair, and hates her stroller, I think she is a pretty great kid.

Below are some pics I took today, I compared them to some older ones I took and I was amazed at a. what a better camera we have now, and b. how dang similar her faces sill are.  http://thehellerhome.blogspot.com/2009/10/many-faces-of-annie-girl.html  Enjoy

Annie uses her train table for everything.  A pound for her animals, a stage for her music, her trains, her snacks, you name it.  We love it!

Can this kid relax or what?

Sunday Morning

We headed to Home Depot again. Other than laying new mulch and replacing 2 sprinkler heads we are set to let things grow into early spring. Now if someone would come to the back yard that would be great! Annie got to play with Rex, who is officially her first boyfriend, while Mark and Daddy raced lawn mowers in the front yard.

Mommy planted 40 plants this weekend and now I am ready for some good rain to help them grow. We took a walk and checked out the new playground and the end of our block that should be ready in a month or so, its awesome. Should be a great way to meet more people as its adjacent to the pool.

The early spring has been nice, but I am ready for some more rain please!

Annie and Rex.  He is a bit older than Annie but really seems to like playing with her.  Today they played hide and seek at his house which was him hiding in a tent and popping out and Annie cracking up.  When ever Annie comes out the 4 boys next door yell "Annie is outside!!  Annie is outside"  Hopefully when she starts school one day they will look out for their Annie.

Boxwoods grew a lot in the last 4 months even though its hard to tell, I cut them back a bit to encourage them to grow out not up.  Also planted some Jonny Jump Ups for color.  (A name Adam swore my dad made up until I Googled it) and some nice wild flowers with color.  We planted 8 on each side.  Looks sparse now but I am hoping by spring they will fill in like our fall flowers did.

What a beautiful day!

This is taken at the end of our yard.  The structure straight away is the new park.  Love how close it is.

Grass will be where all of the dirt is.  Now we can tear out our backyard grass and hardscape.  Can't wait!

I love the slide to nowhere.  Clearly they have some work to be done, but I think it will be really great!

Jade necklace from Asia

Mom has been asking if I wore my jade piece yet and today was the first day. I wore it out and took a pic of myself in the car. Sorry for the glasses and iPhone quAlity, but I love it! Thanks mom and dad!
