Okay, no new pictures but Adam found some time to edit Annie's first bath. She didn't take to it at first, but then found it very soothing. She'll be ready for a jacuzzi tub in no time.

Top 10 Great Things About Being a Parent
So now that we have been at this for over a week Adam and I have made some observations about the top 10 great things we now have in our lives that we did not before:
10. My mom's home cooking!! Having my mom and dad here has been great. For those who do not know my mom's meals are the absolute best around. We have had enchiladas, brisket, and prime rib, with pasta and chicken pot pies to come!
9. Baby hiccups. I did not enjoy these so much in utero but now that Annie is here they are just about the cutest thing I have ever seen.
8. Having Annie sleep on my chest is just about the best feeling we have ever had. If only we could learn to relax like that.
7. Looking at Annie's face when she is passing gas. It's just about the saddest thing I have ever seen. She makes this little "o" with her pretty little lips and looks like the world has just done her wrong.
6. Accidental smiles. They generally come directly after the aforementioned gas and its like she just heard the best news of her life.
5. Watching Annie's little arms move around. She hasn't quite gotten full control over them yet and seems completely surprised each time they make a move. A favorite activity of hers is to grab her face with her hand. Seeing this happen enough times made me decide to trim her nails for the first time. A task that went surprisingly better than expected.
4. Eye contact with Annie. Nothing else needs to be said, its simply wonderful.
3. Watching her grow. In only the week or so she has been with us she has changed so much and we can't wait for more!
2. Breast feeding. While it can be trying at times (read 3 am) it truly is the most amazing experience. There is something about the bond you make that nothing else can come close to. I have no idea why it ever went out of style in the 70's. Laughing as those tiny little hands and face explore to get what they want and being so proud when the two of you finally get it right. I had originally thought pumping and bottles were going to come sooner rather than later, but now know that is a long way off.
1. Introducing Annie with family and friends. So far everyone has fallen in love with her, but really who wouldn't! She is the best little holiday gift we ever got, and I'm thilled she is here now, rather than when scheduled, and I was able to be home for the holidays with family and not in the hospital. Everything happens for a reason!
No pictures for now, it has been pretty quiet around here and we have just been nesting. We did Annie's first bath today and it went quite well. Other than that not much to report!
Happy New Year!
