Welcome Jack

We headed to Fresno this weekend for Jack's first road trip.  Both he and Annie slept most of the way which was great.

The third row in our car was awesome b/c I was able to stretch out a back there and attend to Jack as he was facing me and we have the bucket seats.

My mom had a small dinner for her friends and my Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Dennis, though they are friends in their circle as well of course.

Was so great to see Wendy and Patrick and Art and Kay.  Kay brought her granddaughters Addy and Sienna anad they were adorable.  It was priceless to see my little girl play with Steph's little girls just like us when we were little.  Next year Ashlyn will be old enough to join in the fun.

It was a quick trip but we did manage to sneak in Annie's first movie and some swimming.  Mommy is tired but I would be tired if we had sat home so really nothing lost, only fun gained!

Annie wearing Ainsleigh's darling hand-me-downs.  Thanks Michelle!

My mom did the cutest little theme for the table.  I love it when someone goes the extra mile to set a beautiful table.  Growing up with my Mom doing it I guess I associate it with people going the extra mile to do nice things for the people they love.  Makes every meal feel like a real occasion.  The bar has been set high for me!

These peach cobblers were SO freakin' good!

Swimming with no vest!  Annie rocked her swim lessons this summer.  She made such great progress we are so proud of her!

Uncle Jon came back to San Ramon with us for the night with Charlie as he had business here.  Annie was so excited to get to eat her breakfast with her Uncle J!

Annie, Jon and Charlie.  Jon kept Charlie leashed around all the kids, no children were eaten ;-).

Jack 1 Month

My Aunt Susan sent me these great stickers which I just now got around to opening, thank you so much Aunt Susan!  I can take pictures of Jack every month 1-12 and watch him grow.

He is a pretty good little baby, much better than Annie. His biggest issue is he is a high touch baby, meaning he doesn't want to be put down ever.  This is making it harder on me but hopefully soon enough he will growth through it.

In the meantime I just remind myself that this is the last time I will ever do this and I am lucky to have such a sweet little boy in my arms.  Even if he is a total Mama's Boy.
