We are officially at the tail end of summer. Everyone who knows me knows I love fall and winter the best so I can't say that I am sad to see it go per say, but, we did have some pretty great times in our first full summer in this house.
This weekend we had a really good mix of relaxing and social events. Next weekend we are headed to Fresno for my cousins wedding and after that we are blissfully plan free for fall.
Annie has been cracking me up lately, she seems to have developed a sense of humor over night. She is now funny on purpose and she knows it. It cracks me up to see her become such a little ham. Her pirate impression is pretty stellar at this point. 'Argh matey, where is my treasure? lol.
Below are some highlights form the week. Hope you are enjoying the last few weeks of summer.
We had a teacher inservice day at school so Catherine came over for the morning to play with Annie. Those two together are trouble. Little girls will be little girls!
Then we had our neighbors birthday party. They had the fireman come! Annie totally dug it. She got to climb up into the truck and see the real fireman up close. It was a really neat treat!
Mommy thinks that the fireman is just about as cute as Annie....just saying.
Then we had another birthday party to go to! This one was at My Gym and Annie had a great time playing games, singing songs and running around with her school friends. Apparently we are now on the birthday party circuit.

Next up we had Naomi, Paul and CUTE little David over for dinner. These two were adorable together and got along really well. Annie does better with boys and from what I can tell little David does pretty well with the ladies. We had a great time getting to know Naomi's husband Paul better who was a pretty successful talent agent in LA and had some great stories to share with us.
We ultimately may join the same temple as them so Annie and David could end up in Sunday School together for life!
On Sunday Daddy and Annie washed the car in the driveway. Annie thought it was the coolest thing ever. That car is officially 11 years old and still going strong. I know a convertible is not the most practical for a family with a toddler so sadly in the next year or so it will have to go in exchange for a 4 door something or other.
We finished the weekend off by heading to Sears to get a fridge for the garage. With all of the entertaining we do I finally gave in and agreed it would be a useful thing to have.
