When Adam went in to get Annie this morning she said "Oh Daddy! You are here!" Love it.
Daddy and his girl.
We decided to hit up the Farmers Market. With the weather SO WEIRD this year this is the first time it was warm enough to go since it opened and it was still cloudy at that.
Ready to do it up!
Since they moved the market from the old farm to across from the Whole Foods there are so many more vendors, Adam and I were really happy to see it. They even had fish caught fresh.
Adam negotiated the price of a package of lox down. This made me laugh.
The berries, ALL of them were beautiful and so sweet. Annie was a huge fan of the free samples.
I wanted to get a bag of lettuce with edible flowers but alas, we ran out of cash.
Annie listening to the band play. She said they were very good with their instruments and she asked for her drum.
Daddy picking out zucchini and squash to grill tonight.
Mommy drooling over the mushrooms and wishing Daddy liked to eat them.
Freshly made pasta. This treat is for next time.
After we went we decided to go get some Pho for lunch. Annie is a pro at using her rubberband chopsticks. She has gotten "stabbing" her food down to a science. In addition to her noodles she decided she wanted some cherries.
Our haul! I love when everything is so ripe and beautiful.
You cut them and immediately put them into room temperature water. From there you bring them inside and place the stems in boiling water for a minute or so. This keeps the sap from clogging the arteries so water can still get to the flowers. Worked like a charm and now they are all over my house.
The whole yard is blooming beautifully. We spent the entire day in the yard listening to music, the fountain, and getting some sun when the clouds went on their way.
Daddy and Annie having some sand time.
Look Lori, your lemon tree grew us some lemons! Come on over and I will put them in some vodka for us.
Vines are doing their climbing thing nicely. Can't they go any faster?
Lastly Annie loves her painting. Every day she now paints a picture, her hands and usually her clothes. I just hose her down and bring her in!
Happy Weekend All!
