Oh Christmas Tree!

Okay so after talking to my Aunt Cheryl I realized I had been beaten on the Christmas Tree front. She had four big ones! They were all beautiful. My moms front porch looked better than any catalog I saw this year.

Day after Christmas brunch with Aunt Susie.  Everything was delicious!  Thanks Mom!

Just hanging out

Grammy and Gramps got Annie her own lazy boy. It's hysterical, and she liked sitting in it, though not in the reclining position.

Piano Man

Annie's new thing is to sing. I think it is the most adorable thing you have ever heard but I am biased. She knows a few songs well, but the Christmas carols were a new thing to her. She sings the last word of every line. She does like Frosty and knows it pretty well.

My parents have a player piano (one that plays it self) and Annie decided it was the best thing since cookies. All weekend long she sat with her Grammy and Gramps playing the Piano and singing songs.

Christmas Morning

We have a tradition in our house of waking up here on Christmas morning. It's not that we wouldn't love to have our extended families around, but its difficult to have Christmas at our house (so far). When I grew up I got to wake up in my own bed xmas morning. While its not ideal to have to travel Christmas day (although flying is a breeze as is driving that day), in the end I believe it will be a wonderful tradition for our family. This is the first year Annie sort of "got it" and was excited to see what Santa brought her.

Our tree Christmas morning.

Stockings were hung by the chimney with care.

Santa brought Annie a high chair, double stroller, and a bassinet for the American Doll twins that Mommy and Daddy got Annie.

Santa left a trail of candy canes for Annie to follow down the stairs and to the fire place.  Santa left Mommy candy canes like this when she was little too.  (Video to come)

How many candy canes can one 2 year old carry?

Need to hydrate after a long morning of getting presents from Santa.  It's exhausting!
