What do the Statue of Liberty, Yosemite, and Annie have in common?

Tourists from Japan want to take pictures of all of them. No joke.

Today we went to Lemo's farm in Half Moon Bay and took Annie to the pumpkin patch. It has been October for like a whole day now right? For those of you not from the Bay Area, chances are the pumpkin you buy might be. In the valley on the way to the ocean there are dozens of pumpkin farms. Lemo's farm has pumpkins, pony rides, goats, chickens, trains, hay rides, you name it.

Annie had a great time. And on our way out about 10 Japanese woman starting yelling in a language I didn't understand and pointing and smiling at Annie. Then asked if broken English if they could take her picture. I think of course, the bow did it ;).

"Mommy did you know pumpkins came in SO many colors?"

"I think these two are good. They are bumpy. I like to touch bumpy things."

"Which to choose?"

"Decisions Decisions Decisions...."

"Any good ones over there?"

"Did I choose a good one guys?"

" I thought so!"

Lets hit the road!!

Offsite 2009

Yesterday was our companies annual offsite. I work on this event pretty much every year now. This was my 9th offsite at QuinStreet. This year we did it at the Four Seasons in Palo Alto. I planned it with Rupal and Kerren. I know I say this a lot. But I have some truly truly talented friends.

I think we could all do just about anything we set our minds too working as a team. Rupal knows Food and Beverage better than any lady I know. We did a Bollywood theme this year as much of my company, and my team specifically is Indian. It was just BEAUTIFUL. Rupal made the whole menu herself then got the executive chef at the Four Seasons to make it all. It was to die for, all Indian flavors but mellow enough for your average person. Kerren is our organizational guru. She is on top of every last tiny detail. Where I gloss over things she is honed in. I am the decoration person, lighting, flowers, linens, etc etc. All put together and we are 1 perfect person!

Some pics below:

The dream team. Rupal put on her Indian garb later on, and looked fab! I did my best to fit the theme, and borrowed Rupals jewelry.

How cute are our elephant menu option card holders?

We had paisley gobos on the floor and the walls.

We were playing Bollywood movies in a lounge we created with furniture we rented, it was so fun!
Our Ganesh!

Dancers we hired. We also had a great Henna artist doing art on peoples hands.

Our exec team all done up!

Feeling Good in Fall

Today Annie went for her 9 month check-up. Below you'll find the adorable Fall outfit she wore. She got over a dozen smiles in the doctors' office lounge. Annie brushed all the attention aside and played with some toys. She only had to get one vaccination shot today and she didn't even cry!

After that we went to Gymboree where her new favorite thing is to bounce on this crawling bridge. Of course she is bouncing standing up on the "crawling bridge" so it was hard to get good footage while I made sure she didn't tip it over. Good times.

Grammy and Grumps Come for a Visit

Grammy and Grumps came by for an early fall visit before they head out on their trip to Italy, Egypt, etc etc etc.

They wont get to see Annie until Halloween so they wanted to get a little visit in before we meet them in Fresno for Trick-or-Treat.

We had a great weekend! My mom and I had some good luck shopping, then we went to the Ritz in Half Moon Bay for lunch and it was fabulous. On the way back we stopped to buy our traditional beautiful pumpkins which always remind me of our wedding. And we also stopped into the flower grower there and found a new paradise. I got two HUGE bunches for amazing blooms for 20 bucks. My bedroom is very luxurious now!

For Friday night we watched all the new shows we had taped and had sushi... Divine! Then today we hit down town San Carlos for a DIVINE lunch. Finger licking good. Literally. We were licking our fingers. Topped it off with a trip to Vanilla Moon and sent them on their way. It was a quick trip, but a great one!

Annie, Grammy Whenny, and Grumps!
