I was finally able to capture a few of Annie's happy faces on film. We had just gotten home from a trip to the mall and lunch with Shannon and Annie's boyfriend Kellen (who is so big and handsome these days, and is getting some hair!) Annie was so happy to be out of her car seat and finally home on her favorite blanket and bouncer that she game me a smile!

Little Bunny Foo Foo
Annie came in to see Daddy in bed this morning and greeted him with a huge smile! Daddy rewarded her by teaching her Little Bunny Foo Foo (well his version anyhow) it seemed the perfect song for today given her little booties, which are just too cute! Annie, as you can see, thinks her Daddy's singing is just marvelous!
We Lost The Cheerio Pout
But there is no way we are losing the lip cry. Translated: When Annie was a Newborn she would cry and put her mouth into this tiny perfect little "o" the size of a cheerio. Adam and I LOVED it. But we never took a picture or a movie, and now its gone forever, as she does not do it any more.
We were smarter this time around and caught the lip cry on tape. When her little lip goes out Adam and I have to laugh, its just about the cutest cry ever. Please know that Annie was fed, dry and safe while crying, she was just fussy so I grabbed the camera. Please excuse my singing. Twinkle Twinkle gets her to stop crying 8 times out of 10, but in this case I might have been making it worse ;-).

Coffee Talk
While I was having my coffee this morning Annie decided to have a little chat with me. You have to turn the volume up to hear her as I was using the video on my little camera. She is starting to coo and make all sorts of noises now that she has found her voice and can do more than grunt. In this video we also get a smile, and an attempt to get her fists in her mouth, albeit a failed one. The milestones are just stacking up and she is so much more fun!
What's Cuter Than A Baby On A Blanket?
A baby on a blanket that resembles a bear skin rug. Here are some stills that go with the video above.

Rub-A-Dub Dub 2 Women In The Tub
The rest of Annie's belly button finally is falling off so we can give her a real bath! And she LOVED it. She got in with Mommy in a tub full of J&J bubbles and was sooooo relaxed and happy. She was exploring the zero gravity effect on her chubby little legs. When it came time to hand her to daddy and get dried off she was very unhappy, but that's okay, I can easily tell this will quickly become a regular event for us. It was one of the best things I have done as a mom so far!

Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, Knees and Toes
...eyes and ears and mouth and nose, head shoulders knees and toes knees and toes. Okay no where in that song do they mention hands, but Annie has found hers! And she loves to put them in her mouth. Once she gets better control of her arms maybe she can soothe herself that way, b/c the pacifier just is not happening. She sucks on it for about 30 seconds, look at me, like "hey do you think I'm stupid?" and spits it across the room. But the hands, those are a horse of a different color. They are warm, soft, fleshy, and somewhat animated and she loves them.
In other developments Annie is starting to loose some of that newborn cry and developing distinct cries for various problems. My favorite is her pissed off cry. There is no other polite way to describe it, she is pissed, and wants you to know it.
To offset this she has started to smile on a daily basis. The easiest way to get her to do it is to sing her one of the lame songs I made up for her. Which is why there is not a video of it on the blog...there is no way the world is ready for my lame songs. But she loves them, and it makes all the late nights worth it each time you get one of those smiles. Hopefully we can get the camera out soon and capture some of those gummy grins!

Bowtiful Baby
I love bows. It's a known fact. I even had them on my wedding dress, on my butt... I willingly chose a butt bow. So much to my friend Lori's dismay ;-) my child will wear lots of them. The only problem with that is they charge an arm and a leg for them! 20 bucks for a cute one. So Annie and I went to the craft store at lunch and I made these this afternoon. If anyone has a little girl who needs some bows just let me know! I bought all the soft head bands in different colors and they have a small loop on them that you swap the bows in and out of, and when Annie finally gets some hair you can toss the headbands and clip the bows directly into the hair!
First Blue Jeans!
Annie and I ran some errands today and now that she is bigger she can wear actual clothes out of the house which is fun. It's so fun to see how much she has changed in the last 6 weeks!

Who do you love?
I am so excited about all of the Valentines clothes that are out right now because they are red! Annie already has 3 great V day outfits and Grammy Cathy just sent her an adorable one which we love! It will be Vday week at the Heller home...a different outfit for every day! Annie's onesie may say that she loves her mommy, but she looks pretty fond of her daddy too!
Toasty Warm!
It has been rainy and cold here this weekend (it's about time!) but we were not going to let that stop us from running some errands. Annie is finally big enough to fit into some of her 0-3 month clothes. Terry Bayless gave Annie this great little outfit. She was so cozy and soft to snuggle. She also felt her first raindrops on her face which she welcomed with a surprised expression, and then promptly fell asleep.
