Bath time!

Adam and I took advantage of the calm time Annie had after her bath to take some pictures of her in her towel. She really enjoyed the bath this time, not a single tear and even some cooing!

Gratuitous Posting

This post is really just for the Grammys (as lets be honest, most are.) In this clip Annie is doing...absolutely nothing...but she still looks darn cute. We had just finished lunch and she was going down for her nap as soon as I put some clothes on her. I'm posting this so Grammy Cathy and Grammy Wendy don't have to watch the last clip posted anymore :-) Annie's Grammys love her!

Excited!

I got my new Cannon camera today, just a point and shoot so I don't have to get out the big camera or video camera every time I want to catch something. It should make it easier to take short videos as well. In this video Annie is on her mat. She gets really into batting the toys around. I think she wishes she had slightly better control over her limbs ;-) but she still will bat at the toys for a solid 20 minutes on her own before she has had enough!

Monkey Business

Annie is getting bigger every day! Grammy Wendy and Grumps got her this outfit at one of the showers, and it was supposed to be the outfit she wore home from the hospital but it was way too big. It fits pretty well now which is so fun!
I had my 2 week post hospital check up today and it went great. The incision is nearly completely healed and life is good.

After my check-up I took Annie to the Sequoia Wellness Center to weigh her and meet some other new moms. I weighed her with a clean diaper and clothes on as it was cold in the room, but she weighed in at 7lbs 14oz! (I checked it 3 times to make sure) so id suspect she is right around 7 and 1/2 lbs without the diaper and outfit, which is great!

It's a Jungle out there!

Annie is spending more and more time awake which is a lot of fun. We opened the FANTASTIC play mat from Judith and Rick this morning and she just loved it. She was obsessed with the little red bird that tweeted and even managed to coordinate herself well enough to bat at it so it moved. The lights above her head were also great for drawing her attention in the right direction. I think this gift is a winner!

Grammy Cathy got Annie great little play mat. While she is not quite interested with what is going on above her head yet, she finds the side of the mat simply fascinating. Go figure.

Cute As A Button!

Something about the buttons on these little green pants made them irresistible to me! Annie is just over two weeks old and she has changed so much! We have gone on a few outings. Today we made a big trek to Home Depot, Babies'r'us, and lunch. Annie was utterly unimpressed with the entire outing and again snoozed through most of it. If only she was this willing to sleep through anything at 3 am!

My Vistors

Annie has had so many visitors coming to see her! We did not get photos of everyone but we got to see Lisa & Kiera, and Dawn & Rebecca, Kerren, Uncle Todd, Grammy Cathy, Grammy Wendy & Grumps, and Uncle Jon... We can't wait for Annie to meet everyone else!

My first outing

Today was a big day for Annie. She went on her first outing while our cleaning lady (who is great in case you are local and need one) cleaned our house.

We first went to Nordstroms in Palo Alto to do a few errands, and Annie was an angel, she lasted an hour without a peep. We bought her a new outfit for being so good. The sales are just too good to resist! Then we managed to fit in a feeding and a diaper change in the car with minimal tears, and it was back to her zzzz's.

After that we all went to lunch and enjoyed another hour of blissful sleeping from Annie. I think she loves her carseat and stroller thank god!

For her next outing Annie told me she wanted to try out Neimans, but daddy said no!

A Swinger Lifestyle

No, not that kind of lifestyle....But we tried out Annies swing last night and she loved it! It saved Daddy 10 minutes of rocking after each feeding which means 10 more minutes of sleeping!

We also had baby Annie's second Dr's appt. today and she gained nearly 11 oz in 6 days! What a champ. It's so hard to tell when feeding her if she is getting enough milk. That's where bottles would definitely come in handy. But all is well, the Dr. wanted her to gain 4 oz and she gained 11 so life is good. Onward and upward!

Annie's Photo Shoot

Today was a productive day for us. I managed to get out of the house for about an hour and half and went to Barnes and Nobles with Adam while Grammy Wendy watched Annie. She was an angel and did not even notice we were gone.

After we got back we decided it was time to do a photo shoot of Annie with her giant bear. Well, really the bear is a normal sized bear and Annie is just tiny. It was then decided by Grammy that we needed to get the bow she had bought Annie back in May. It is nearly bigger than Annie's head, but adorable none the less.

Lots of hard work around here, but also tons of fun!
